Greeting Farm relay part 2 - Charlotte

I'm taking part in the Greeting Farm relay challenge this week which I'm really enjoying but have just tried to upload my card to the gallery and the site has crashed, probably due to too many people trying to do the same!

Anyway here is today's offering. The free digi image is Charlotte and I have used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketchers to base my card on and have also gone along with the Cupcake Craft challenge which is to make a Matching Set. As well as the card I made a triangle gift box (the tutorial is from Splitcoast Stampers), finally I have used the colour combo for this week's Passion for Promarkers - Pastel Green & Blossom.

Doh - just realised that the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketchers was last weeks!

Sunshine Anya

Saturday Spotlight want us Let the Sunshine In this week and it's been a bit hard to imagine some summer sunshine in the midst of all this winter weather we've been having - there hasn't really been much sun here at all recently :o(

Anyway I've tried with this card, I used a sketch from Carol's Sketch Fun, and created my own backing papers with stamps from Blonde Moments - hope it's all sunny enough!

I'm entering it for the following challenges:
Anyone for Anya - Heart 4 Heart's Sake
Anya Ink - No printed paper
Saturday Spotlight - Let the Sunshine In
Carol's Sketch Fun - Sketch

Mer-Ian - Greeting Farm relay

Had fun doing this card today for the Greeting Farm Relay Challenge, you can find the details here but basically, the Greetings Farm are giving away free exclusive digi stamps if you take part in the challenge. Mer-Ian is available to download today and when you upload your card to their gallery they will email you the next image to work with, looking forward to seeing what tomorrow's image will be!

I coloured Ian with Promarkers and added a hint of sparkle with a Sakura pen and water brush. My backing paper is Basic Grey and I have stamped directly onto it with Stampin Up stamps (the lobster and the wave), adding some Glossy Accents for emphasis. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Creative Inspirations - Maxine's Sketch Challenge

This week's Creative Inspirations challenge is a great sketch by Maxine and I have used a gorgeous fairy digi stamp - the origin of which I have unfortunately forgotten - if anybody recognises it please let me know so that I can give credit! She has been coloured and sitting on my desk for quire a while waiting for a suitable challenge so I decided she'd been waiting long enough and put her together with the Retro Flowers backing papers from Dovecraft and some flowers and buttons from my stash.

I'm also entering the card for these challenges:
DU2D - Buttons
Charisma Cardz - Fruity Colours
Papertake Weekly - Pretty Pink

It's still winter after all!

Trying to keep going with the Christmas card challenges at the moment so I made this card yesterday to fit in with a few of them. I used my Snow Cuttlebug folder on my base card and my backing paper, added glitter snowflakes and 3 bells as embellishments and finished off with a sentiment from - whoops no name on the stamp so unable to give credit.

I'm entering the card for the following challenges:

Cool Cat

I had just added two cat images to my Digi Stamp blog Cardmadfairy's Creations when I happened to notice that the My Time to Craft challenge theme this week is Cool Cats - purrfect!
This image (named by my youngest son) is Morris, he has been coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto pink and then metallic grey card. The sentiment is from Creative Cafe and the pink flowers are by Prima. I followed the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges and used the colour combo Pink and Grey from Cute Card Thursday.

I think it's beginning to go!

Finally it seems like the snow may be on it's way out, we have had snow on the ground for exactly one month now and although it snowed again yesterday for most of the day today it actually seems to be melting! Really looking forward to seeing the grass again.

Today's card was made following the colour recipe at Passion for Promarkers, Cool Aqua and Cocoa. I used one of my favourite Leanne Ellis images from Sugar Nellie, backing papers from Basic Grey Marrakech and K&Co Earth Tones, Trimmits buttons, tiny Prima flowers with sticky pearls from Kars and a bit of organza ribbon from my stash to finish it off. The little sentiment label was cut with one of my new Nellie Snellen dies.

The card also fits the challenges at:
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday - Celebrations
A Spoon Full of Sugar - 3 pieces designer paper, 1 piece ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 buttons
and
Papertake Weekly - Sketch

2nd post today!

Very unusual for me to do two posts in one day but I was keen to show off my new image Molly Mermaid which is available to download from Cardmadfairy's Creations for only 99p!

I used a sketch from this week's Stamptacular Sunday challenge for the layout. Also as there's nothing quite as girly as a mermaid I'm entering it for the Cupcake Craft Going Girly challenge.

Thanks for popping by today and thanks so much for your comments!

A is for angel

New challenge blog ABC Christmas challenge has recently launched their first challenge of the year A is for Angels. To get ahead for this year I plan to do a couple of Christmas cards every week - let's see how long I last! lol
Anyway I followed the sketch at Winter Wonderland and this is what I've come up with, I'm not sure why the photo has a pink tinge but the light is a bit poor today so I guess that's my excuse.
I used a Leanne Ellis image , Kars & Papermania papers and snowflake brads from Woodware.

Brrrr - so cold!

The view from our front window this afternoon is amazing, we have a clear blue sky, beautiful sunshine and snow as far as the eye can see. The trees and plants are all white with frost which the sun has not begun to melt. I'd love to share a photo of it with you but Neil, my husband, has gone for a walk with the camera just now. Maybe I'll post a pic later.

However I do have a card to share. The image is a new one I just finished last night and I looked around this morning to find some challenges to use, firstly I followed the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

and thought it would fit with the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was All New - well it is a brand new image!
I also coloured the image and used backing papers in Browns and Pinks to fit with the challenges at Simon Says (Hot Chocolate/Brown & Pink) and Charisma Cardz (Pink, Brown Cream & Toffee).
Finally I used layers to make the card fit in with the ABC Challenge which is L for layers this week.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all friends and followers, delighted to say I'm feeling much better this morning despite having been out until 3.30am! My cold is finally clearing up although I can't say the same about the weather - we are still covered by a thick blanket of snow and though the sun is trying to shine at the moment I believe there is still more snow forecast. I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere, it's definitely weather for staying at home in the warm.

I also want to say Happy Birthday to all at the Charisma Cardz challenge, they have been running their challenges for one whole year now and are celebrating with a blog hop and giving away a whole raft of prizes so why not get over there and join in the fun. I have made this card for the new challenge which has the theme of Celebrations, hope you like it!
