Girly, glittery, glamour
Our new challenge at Creative Inspirations is all about girly, glittery, glamour - a nice change from all the spooky Halloween cards we've all been doing lately I think! My image is Madelynn from the Greeting Farm, I took advantage of their recent offer - a card for a stamp and submitted a few of my cards, they chose 3, I sent them off to America to be used as Trade Show samples and in return I received 3 lovely new rubber stamps - perfect!
I'm entering the card for the following:
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly & bright
Totally Papercrafts - Bling it on
Stamp Something - Something pink
ABC challenge - Glitter
Stamps & Fun - Girly

The theme this week at Passion for Promarkers is Best Friends so I have made this card using some lovely free digi stamps from the very generous Anne Bodil who regularly shares her artwork on her blog. Thanks Anne - these two are so cute!
I have used the sketch from last week's Sketch Saturday - meant to get this online yesterday but our internet connection went down and we were without it between teatime yesterday and breakfast time today - I can't believe how much I missed it and how much our lives revolve round the internet these days: note to self - 'get a life!'

Passion for Promarkers - Best friends
Cooking it up with Katie - Girly & lilac bow
Paper Pretties - Square cards
Simon Says Stamp - Punch 'em

Crafty Creations - Halloween/Fall
You can choose which theme to follow for this week's challenge at Crafty Creations - Halloween or Fall. I have been wanting to use this fabulous Mo Manning image Trick or Treat for a while so decided to go with the Halloween theme for my own DT card.
I sat and coloured the image while my sister Gillian and I composed a potted history of Mum's life, so far, to give to her new carers, to let them know her background and what her interests were before she had problems with her memory. (I knew I shouldn't have brought my Promarkers downstairs though - Neil was horrified when he saw how many I had!)
The backing papers I used are so old I can't remember where they came from but I used a Stampin Up border punch on the orange cardstock and stamped some tiny cat silhouettes from a fabulous set of stamps I won at Mark's Finest Papers which just arrived from America this week. The stars are from a pack of Pebbles Chips I found at TK Maxx and I printed the sentiment off the Mac.
I am also entering my card for the challenges at:
Cowgirl's Sunday - Halloween
Corrosive - Halloween
Paper Playtime - Halloween
Ooh La La Creations - Scary Stuff
A Crafty Little Place - Make it spooky

Today I'd like to share a card made for a couple of challenges firstly the Sugar Bowl challenge because I liked Marlene's sketch and the theme Boys - I don't make nearly enough boy's cards - and secondly MAWTT because their challenge was to use Promarkers which is my favourite colouring method and this week they are sponsored by Letraset.
The card also fits another few challenges:
Stampavie - Blue & brown
AI Factory - Blue & brown
Delightful - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Dottie's World - Anything Christmas
Sarah Hurley - Red & green must not be seen Christmas
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything goes
I have used a Sugar Nellie image called Christmas Choir by Mary Hall for the first time and coloured it with Promarkers, I used PaperArtsy backing paper and stamped some swirls in brown ink and distressed the edges, the snowflake is Stampin Up. Hope you like my card, thanks so much for visiting today.

Getting round to it
Had a busy day yesterday, rushing about all over the place but managed to fit in one little card for a couple of challenges I fancied trying. I saw the sketch at Create 4 Fun and thought I'd like to try another round card, I also wanted to use one of my Leanne Ellis stamps just because I love them so here is the result:
The backing papers are Dovecraft and the flowers are made by punching different sized circles from an old book, rubbing with a little distress ink and then spritzing with water and scrunching them up, after drying them with a heat gun they are lovely and crinkly.

Creative Inspirations does Halloween/Fall
It was my turn to pick the challenge at Creative Inspirations this week and you will probably not be surprised that I chose Halloween/Fall - I should probably have chosen something different as there are so many Halloween/Fall challenges - what else did I expect at this time of year ??
I wanted to feature one of my new Halloween digi images so I used Ghostly which is available now on my Cardmadfairy's Creations blog. The papers and the sentiment are from the Autumn/Halloween 12x12 pack by Max Bringmann KC again and the spider stamp is Stampin Up.
We are being sponsored this week by Some Odd Girl and by me, our winner will be able to choose digi stamps from both stores!
These are all the Halloween challenges I'm entering my card for:

Very briefly
Today is a big day - it's the day I finally move my lovely Mum into a great care home only a few minutes away from me. She has been in hospital for nearly six months now and it has been a very trying time for her and for my sisters and me, so I'm looking forward to getting her settled in her own nice room with some of her familiar things around her and the lovely carers to look after her.
So just popping on here very briefly to share a card I made a couple of days ago, I used a Pollycraft stamp and coloured her with Promarkers. My backing papers are from PaperArtsy, the sentiment is Stampin Up and the flowers are from Petaloo.
Challenges I'm entering this for are:
Little Red Wagon - Something Old (my stamp) & something new (my papers)
Sisterhood of Crafters - Bling
Hodge Podge Shop - Distressing
ABC Challenge - F for flowers
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Winter wonderland

The lovely papers are from Stampin Up and I generated the sentiment on my IMac - the last line of the verse is inside the card but I didn't take a photo of that.

It must be Autumn
So many of this week's challenges are all about the colours of autumn and the change of season I felt I had to make a card to reflect the time of year. I started with the fab new digi stamp I won last week on Cowgirl Up challenge, her name is Bella and she is available here. I coloured her with Promarkers and added a little sparkle with Sakura stardust pens and a waterbrush - a fairy has to have a little sparkle about her doesn't she? I followed the sketch from this week's Sketch and Stash challenge and used papers from the Autumn/Halloween 12x12 pack by Max Bringmann KC. The stamped leaves are Hero Arts and the weeny brads are from Basic Grey. The sentiment is from Woodware.
The challenges I'm entering are:
Baby Bud Designs - Fall/Halloween
Flutterby Wednesday - Fall

Well it's a new week and I have a lot to fit in this week so before I go and get on with it all I just want to share a card I made at the weekend, Christmas is edging closer and I really have to get cracking with these Christmas cards. This one was made using a really cute stamped image Marshmallow Penguin by Stampabilities which I coloured with Promarkers then doodled a design on his scarf & hat. The backing papers are Rum & Raisin from PaperArtsy and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.
Wishing all my visitors a great week!

Another new image and a DT call
The image I've used for this card is one of my recent new releases from Cardmadfairy's Creations, because I find it difficult to find the time to make many samples I am currently looking for a few designers who might like to join a Design Team to promote my images - I won't be asking for more than 1 project per fortnight. If you are interested please get in touch by email before the end of October with a link to your blog so I can pay you a visit. (email address is under my profile)

Forget the comfort zone!
Here I am out of my comfort zone once again, although I suppose that's what a challenge is all about really!
This is my DT card for Crafty Cardmakers whose theme this week is - yes you've guessed it is Step away from the square. For me shaped cards are usually avoided like the plague - I love other people's but usually always plump for square for my own ones.
I decided to use my latest digi stamp for this week's challenge and printed it out onto card, cut it out, coloured it with distress inks and Twinkling H2Os and added some ultra fine glitter. I then stuck it onto a piece of folded blue cardstock and cut round the butterfly shape again. The flowers are from Petaloo and they are held together with some mini brads which I added some extra fine glitter to, the lovely sentiment is Stampin Up.
I'm entering my card for these challenges:
Cowgirl's Sunday - Anything goes
Gingerloft - All that glitters or blings
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Nature
Catch the Bug - Anything goes

I'm back
Well the last three days have been pretty exhausting but I've had a great night's sleep and I'm ready for some challenges! Today's is Creative Inspirations challenge which has been set this week by my lovely teamie Cheryl, she has chosen Get Well Soon as her theme. We are lucky enough to have two sponsors for this challenge - Fantastic Ribbons and Ellephantastic with fab prizes from both.
My card, because I've been so busy this week, is a quick and simple one. The image is Bird on Branch by Softpencil which I coloured with Promarkers and used some pearl glass outliner paint on the berries. I've framed the image with brown cardstock using a Nellie Snellen die, then used the same cardstock to make a backing using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and Whisper White ink from Stampin Up. My punches are also from Stampin Up.
The challenges I'm entering this for are:
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Open theme
Sweet Stampin - Punches
Alphabet - W for Wings
Totally Papercrafts - The great outdoors
Pixie Dust - Swirly swirls
