A bit of scrapbooking

Managed to find time yesterday to do a bit of scrapping. Even though I go to Scrapbooking Group twice a month I don't always have much time to get a layout done, seem to spend more time teaching a technique or looking at what the others have done. However I saw a sketch on the Trimcraft forum which I thought I'd like to try and here is the result.

My lovely daughter Lynsey was bridesmaid for one of her friends last year and typically wore black! The journaling reads: When Susie asked you to be one of her bridesmaids I pictured you in pink or peach or some other traditional bridesmaid colours - I should have known better don't you think?
I think she looked stunning in black!

I have used Papermania backing paper and the torn paper is from Southfield Stationers (where I will be demonstrating next Saturday 28th Feb), the lace is from my stash and I made the flowers from black card which I stamped with Versamark and brushed with Pearl Pigments from Blonde Moments.
